QUATE Exam
The QUATE test is a proficiency test for cytotechnologists who fulfill the criteria for accreditation in their own countries. The Quate exam is hold at least once a year, generally on the day of the opening of the European Congress of Cytology in English language. If you wish to sit this exam, please check with your national QUATE representative. The test is carried out according the "European Guidelines for Quality Assurance in Cervical Cancer Screening".
Please send your applications to: Andrew Evered: Andrew.Evered@CardiffandVale.wales.nhs.uk
Application for the QUATE Exam
Applications for the QUATE Exam must be approved by the national QUATE delegate. Please contact your QUATE delegate. The members of the QUATE Committee are displayed in this document. To view or print the Form for Application and Instruction click here: /admin/user/attachments/QUATE-Exam-Forms.pdf
Next QUATE Exams
National societies are encouraged to support QUATE examinations and advice is available from Andrew Evered on how to organise an examination.
Register of Cytotechnologists holding QUATE Aptitude Test
Due to changes in administration of the
QUATE exam there is no formal record of those cytotechnologists who have passed
the Aptitude Test. Accordingly we would be grateful if national QUATE members
would ask for copies of all certificates, verify and forward them to Andrew
Evered so that a database can be established. The certificates do not
expire. There is no recertification. A voluntary repeat of the exam is
optional.
Quate Examination Board (Date of last change: 05.06.2008)
The next meeting of the QUATE examination board will take place in Madrid, before the QUATE Meeting. For Information contact Andrew Evered. Andrew.Evered@CardiffandVale.wales.nhs.uk
Practical Organisation, planning etc. of the test is carried out by the QUATE examination Board.
